Born 1995 in Nashville, Tennessee, Ethan Roy is a Los Angeles based photographer. His focus has been the cultural and political landscape of America under the MAGA movement. Pointing his lens at those who benefit from it's power and those most susceptible to be affected by its policies. He has documented ICE operations in NYC and LA, the protest against those initiatives, the destructive effects of CA wildfires, Charlie Kirk’s memorial, queer sports culture and the normalization of conspiracy theorists. Alongside with documenting the America social landscape, he had previously spent a few years working alongside as an assistant with photographers such as Peter Lindbergh, Norman Jean Roy, Mario Testino, and James Nachtwey. He has been featured in and written for NY Mag, shot for Esquire, The Washington Post, Zeit and WIRED.
He was also listed in TIME Magazine’s Best Photos of 2025.
